Our Approach

We start with the slab rather than the product. That means finding out what the concrete is sitting on before quoting, testing an older slab for moisture as a line item in the scope rather than as an extra sold after a floor has blistered, and telling you plainly which of your cracks we think are still moving. A crack over ground that is still working gets detailed as a joint and you are told up front that it can telegraph again — because on this ground it can.

We are equally direct about the limits. A coating is a film a few thousandths of an inch thick and it follows the slab underneath it; nothing we install will stop or bridge seasonal ground movement, and we will not tell you otherwise to close a job. Every slab is opened mechanically with a grinder or a shot blaster — we do not acid etch and we do not put a new coating over an old sealer. Every proposal names the product, the system build and the finished mil thickness, so what you were quoted can be checked against what actually went down.

Scheduling works the same way. We measure the slab surface against the dew point rather than reading the air temperature, which is why a summer crew starts mid-morning instead of at first light, and on a rental turnover we quote the real return-to-service and pick a system that fits the lease rather than the one that reads best on paper. Warranty exclusions are read out before the job is sold, with substrate movement and moisture named first.

One thing worth stating plainly, because the market here does not: Texas licenses no flooring, coatings or painting contractor, so any company in this state calling itself a licensed floor coating contractor is claiming something that does not exist. Instead of a license number we show our City of Killeen general construction registration, general liability cover, workers’ compensation and a Texas sales and use tax permit — all of which you can check.
